This piano event is held on the Loyola Marymount University campus at the Burns Fine Arts Center, an LMU facility. Pianos previously used by the LMU Department of Music are being offered to the public, with proceeds supporting the continued operation of the university's institutional piano loan program.
LMU has a special arrangement with Yamaha, Kawai, and Kim's Piano that benefits the university's music students and faculty. The institutional loan program brings high-quality instruments onto campus for student use, with inventory rotated periodically by offering pianos to the public at substantially reduced pricing.
